About Me
Hi! My name is Brittany Allen and I am the School Social Worker/Behavioral Specialist for Amelia County Public Schools. I am originally from the Tidewater area of Virginia but have currently lived in Prince Edward County for the past 6 years. I graduated from Longwood University in 2012 with my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Women and Gender Studies minor. I graduated from Radford University in 2014 with my Master's of Social Work degree with a School Social Work concentration. After graduating Radford, I returned to Longwood to work in the Office of Residential and Commuter Life for 6 years where one of my roles was to assist students in crisis situations. This is my first year in the School Social Worker role here in Amelia and I am excited to be apart of the team!
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our children, shopping, crafting and trying new restaurants.
I have a passion for working with children and providing them with the resources and support that they need to reach their full potential. I am here to assist the students and families of Amelia County in any way that I can. Please feel free to reach out to me if I can assist.

Ms. Courtney Langford
Hello! My name is Courtney Langford and I am one of the School Social Workers for Amelia County Public Schools. I am a graduate of Amelia County High School class of 2017. I graduated from Longwood University with my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in History in 2020. After Longwood, I took a year off and eventually came to the conclusion that I wanted to pursue social work. I am currently working towards my Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. My current social work experience includes co-leading after school writing workshops in various Richmond County Public Schools. When I am not at work, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends. This will be my first position as a School Social Worker and I am very excited to come back and be a part of team Amelia! I am passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of students in ACPS and dedicated to aiding them and their families whenever needed.
